The hotel is located in a lovely old building with attractive Italian-style architecture. The decor is beautiful and the beds are comfortable. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and helpful, going above and beyond to resolve any issues. The breakfast prepared by the head chef is incredible, with a variety of options to choose from.
The soundproofing in the hotel is not very good, as guests can hear conversations from neighboring rooms.

We stayed in a suite, which was amazing value at £95 per night for a vast room, a comfortable lounge suite, a jacuzzi bath with separate shower. The "full English" breakfast was limited but excellent. The hotel is a delight full of Victorian features. If it were in a more fashionable resort the facilities would have commanded a much higher room rate.
Did not have a morning paper as staff could not access till to pay newsagent for it. The problem should have been easily overcome by a manager.

We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful surroundings of this hotel. The photos in the database didn't do it justice! The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The cleanliness of both the rooms and the grounds was impeccable. Despite the industrial area, the hotel itself was a hidden gem.

I stayed at the hotel for a school reunion . The hotel met the needs of our party and we all had a good time. The bedroom was very comfortable.
I didn't think the bathroom was very well equipped - the toiletries were very basic. The worst thing about the stay was the breakfast and the service then was awful. Not the girl's fault ,she obviously had had no training whatsoever !

The decor of the rooms was outstanding
Lack of choice at breakfast - excellent hot breakfast, but some fresh fruit salad/croissants/yoghurt would have nice instead of just juice and cereal

Beautiful renovated Italian-style home, surrounded by lovely gardens. Helpful staff, served breakfast in room. Convenient location near Asda and short drive to beach. High ceilings and well-dressed rooms, upgraded to superior room with comfortable bed. Excellent meal in bar, close to train station for easy access to Harwich port.

The Tower Hotel was great value for money and the room was comfortable and clean. The location was ideal for catching the ferry to Holland and there was plenty of convenient parking. The staff were friendly and efficient, and even brought us breakfast to our room.

Pleasant surroundings for a drink and close to town/beach
Breakfast was expensive. Usually breakfast is included in the rrom charge but here it was a serperate charge and expensive (£7.50 for a full english) for what it was.
